Spices from Lost Valley
God grows the spices. We harvest and dry them. You enjoy their scent and flavor. The Laurel Bay trees seem to be a native here, along with the Chynoweth and Ohlone Native tribes. My great aunt's and grandma used these spices in their cooking. I've heard it told that the Indians used bay as a breath freshener. A very aromatic Sage grows on the hillsides here. We use it in sachets, potpourri and cooking.
